Adorable one shot. Seriously a must-read. I know it's not a popular fandom, but this fic is awesome. It really captures the history - not just of Rt 66 like in canon, but also of the Vietnam War era. The friends-to-lovers romance is understated but awesome, and the characterizations are great. Even if you never read another Cars fic, give this one a try.
