Fandom: Supernatural
Genre: AU, Romance
Pairings: Sam/Gabriel
Length: Medium (Words:~24k)
Author's Summary:
Mystery Spot AU. One Tuesday, Gabriel slips up, and Dean is sent to Hell months ahead of schedule. Now, this early Apocalypse wouldn't be a problem for Gabriel; he's ready for the Michael and Lucifer to have their family drama done with, but Sam Winchester has to go and make things difficult.
Review:
Gabriel screws up, admits it, and works to earn Sam's forgiveness (which means helping stop the Apocalypse). I like the plot - it's not one that's been done a million times and it works. The characterizations of Sam and Gabriel in particular are, I think, a little weak but still acceptable (and there is an upside - that this means the story isn't drowning in angst like you know it would be if this were canon). This is an early-canon Sam/Gabriel story, pre-reveal so Sam only knows him as Loki for most of this, which I like and am always looking for more of. Plus, no complaints on writing/spelling/grammar/formatting.
