Review:
Best fic I've read in a while. An original story set on an alien planet in the future of the Doctor Who/Torchwood universe (written pre-S2 of Torchwood). The world-building is fantastic - the plot, the characters, the premise, all of it. I especially admire how Ianto manages to cope with this alien world and its culture - he knows so little about life there and then but he learns and he still manages to be capable and competent and so Ianto. It's an adventure story because of the alien war plot and a romance because Ianto falls through the rift and is found by (immortal) Jack - except that Jack doesn't remember him anymore. There's some great twists in this one too that I won't spoil but they're awesome. And the ending is really lovely. I was torn between scoring this one excellent and best fics ever - might yet change my mind, but this fic is truly wonderful.
