Fandom: Rivers of London
Genre: Friendship
Pairing: Nightingale/OMC
Length: Short (3,892 words)
Admin: rec'd on tvtropes, rec'd on fancake

Author's Summary:
How did Nightingale get photographed lying posed on a map of Soho in a tight black t-shirt, beaming up at the camera?

Review:
This is amazing, not for the premise which is a little silly, but for the perfection of the character voices and for how real the feelings seem. I think Peter's characterization is especially good in this one - the ways in which he makes himself there for Nightingale are really touching. This is following Broken Homes, but of course the shadow of Ettersburg is ever-present in Nightingale's life too but unlike a lot of character pieces with Nightingale hurt/comfort as a theme, this one is really positive because while both Peter and Nightingale are hurting following Bk 4, they demonstrate good coping skills which makes it a nice, hopeful fic.

Few knew what happened at Ettersberg or the of the presence of wizards in the war. And while Nightingale knows that it can never be public knowledge, on Remembrance Day he lays a wreath all the same.

Touching fic for Remembrance/Veteran's Day.
