Author's Summary:
Normally you don’t imagine yourself as living in the dystopian future that hapless time travelers accidentally stumble into.
Or: that one where Stiles learns the hard way that reality is not static, time is not a river, and sometimes the way things are is not the way they were supposed to be.

Review:
This is a great story for admirers of good world-building!  I absolutely love storyverses where time is fluid... I just feel like too many writers are obsessive about paradoxes and science-y time travel where reality is constantly in danger of shattering and while I like that too sometimes, it's just done all the time now.  Fluid time 'verses often use either a basic chaotic world theory or some sort of theology - in this case, it's the religious option and vaguely based on Native American beliefs though it doesn't get into the how or why, just focuses on the story as it happens to Stiles and Derek without either getting terribly existential.  I think my favorite part though is Deaton's advice at the end - it's really tragic for Stiles, but it's a fantastic story detail.
