Lydia wakes up as Alpha and takes to it like she takes to everything. Perfectly.
Review:
Canon!Derek doesn't seem to be doing a very good job as Alpha and while he's better than Peter, I do tend to wonder what would happen if either he got his act together or someone else was Alpha and could do a better job. This fic is a little glimpse of the latter. Lydia's character is interesting and believable (though that's easy to do, I think, because she hides so much of herself in canon). I also like Derek's small part in this story and his characterization.
