Review:
During the canon time loop Eureka was stuck in, instead of Nathan Stark sacrificing himself to fix it, Sheriff Jack Carter does, knowing that he couldn't survive another loop with the damage each reset is doing to his body and that Stark is the best candidate for finding a way to fix the possible side effects of the procedure necessary to stop the loop. There is just one promise Jack needs him to make first --- to take care of Jack's daughter Zoe. When Jack does die, scattered to atoms out of sync with time, in the attempt, Stark does his best to be there for Zoe through the loss of her dad and he gives the project of bringing Jack back everything he's got. That's what this story is about. And as a result of that little butterfly effect storyline, Stark, through grief and intense focus on getting Jack back, comes around to seeing the canon banter he had with Jack as flirting and realizes he wants a relationship with Jack. And being the brilliant scientist Stark is, he does manage to bring Carter back so the story gets a happy ending (but I should point out that I don't think telling you that is enough to spoil it for you so be sure to check this one out).
