Title: Real Men Don't Make Cheesecake
Author: Troll Princess
Fandom: Supernatural
Genre: Pre-canon (high school aged Sam and Dean)
Length: Short (Words: 3,773)
Author's Summary:
Dean takes home economics, and chaos ensues. And no, it's not his fault.
Review:
Dean has often had to sew up a bleeding wound and cook Sammy his dinner so it's not suprising that he's good at the things that Home Ec teaches and appreciates the value of being even better at them, even if the hot cheerleaders refuse to talk to him for it. This short one shot is narrated in a sarcastic Dean voice that works very well to show Dean talking the "real men" talk even as he mends his dad's clothes and sews Sammy a few things that actually fit, cooks a few real meals instead of nuking another can of Spaghetti Rings, etc. It's a cool little story that says something about class and gender, and especially about Dean.
