Fandom: Supernatural
Pairings: Gabrial/Sam, Dean/Castiel
Genre: General, Romance
Length: Epic (Words: 400k+)
Author's Summary:
1. At the end of the world, Dean still has Sam. What he doesn't realize is that there are other people willing to be his if he lets them.
2. Dean never really knows what's going on, but he's gotten used to that. If only the number of people he wants to protect would stop growing.
3. Dean decides to take back what Castiel gave up for him. He and Michael are more successful than he expected. Sam is not amused, Gabriel is not convinced, and Vancouver takes a lot of pictures.
4. Sam isn't about to stay out of Dean's new family just because they're all angels. He's pretty sure he can handle the children, but he wasn't expecting the supernatural prank war.
5. Gabriel's past comes due, and Sam stands up beside him. From Woodstock to werewolves, Star Trek to state fairs, angelic time travel to temporary genderswap, Sam doesn't have much time to think, so he operates on instinct: the instinct that says Gabriel deserves to live.
6. Dean doesn't want to give up his humanity. Neither does Castiel. Sam and Jo teach the kids to pray, Lucifer agrees to send his son to kindergarten, and Gabriel sulks more than usual.
7. Sam is trying to run an angel garrison. The angels don't make it easy. Michael is largely absent and Gabriel is largely unhelpful, but at least Lucifer can drive well enough to take the kids to school.
Review:
I think this fic has an interesting premise, it has good spelling and grammar, interesting things happen, and the character development is compelling. I especially liked this fic's Lucifer, Gabriel's backstory, and the addition of some non-canon angels as fully-fledged characters. The whole re-connecting the fallen part was my favorite part of the series. Overall, I really enjoyed the first few 100k words a lot and definitely recommend the series, but I didn't finish the series (it just reached the point somewhere around the 8th story where I had satisfied my curiosity about how the premise would affect the series plot and was ready to find another story - serious Destiel shippers will probably not have this problem).
